Individual records by individuals who have been segregated from the outside world fill in as a token of our reliance on others. What brings us into these connections? Investigations of relational fascination have presumed that individuals are pulled in for the most part to those that they find genuinely alluring and who are geologically close. The initial step to understanding why we are pulled in to specific people we should initially comprehend a people individual discernment or the way toward framing impressions of others. Early introductions regularly help us to decide if we are pulled in to another person. Our early introductions of an individual greatly affects our view of that individual, despite the fact that we experience that individual for just a short timeframe. At the point when we see an individual we represent both the positive and negative attributes of that person. Albeit the vast majority appear to be keen on another people constructive attributes, the antagonistic data is typically gauged so intensely that it overrules all the constructive data about that individual. What makes someone else alluring? Specialists have recognized five factors that are significant in deciding if we are probably going to discover someone else alluring. These elements are physical engaging quality, vicinity, capability, common fascination or preferring, closeness or complementarity of intrigue and convictions. Physical engaging quality is the most significant factor in the beginning periods of connections. When all is said in done, individuals are bound to cooperate with individuals who they find genuinely alluring. As Krebs and Adinolfi once expressed there is a developing assortment of proof which shows that the normal individual radically disparages the impact of physical engaging quality. In spite of the fact that this factor is profoundly significant in influencing the underlying fascination, it will in general reduce after some time. Physical closeness or nearness is another significant factor in relational fascination. Clearly, so as to meet, two individuals must share closeness. The sharing of this space will assist you with getting to realize an individual better. At times getting progressively acquainted with an individual can prompt an abhorrence of that person. Pink and white flags publicizing the spring move held tight every one of the four dividers of the school cafeteria. We will compose a custom article test on The Secret Circle: The Hunt Chapter 3 or on the other hand any comparable point just for you Request Now Suzan showed up a couple of moments after the others and dropped her plate on the table with excitement, apparently neglectful of the groupââ¬â¢s state of mind. ââ¬Å"Is it that time as of now? We need to go out on the town to shop before all the great dresses disappear.â⬠ââ¬Å"Is that truly whatââ¬â¢s at the forefront of your thoughts right now?â⬠Melanie stated, her mouth half full. ââ¬Å"A idiotic dance?â⬠Suzan folded her arms over her cerulean pullover. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢re expected to act ordinary, correct? So we donââ¬â¢t appear to be dubious to the head or any other person. Iââ¬â¢m simply acting normal.â⬠ââ¬Å"You can act anyway you need, as long as you donââ¬â¢t play out any magic,â⬠Cassie declared. ââ¬Å"The chief knows what our identity is. We affirmed that this morning.â⬠Suzan sat down among Faye and Deborah. ââ¬Å"Oh.â⬠She drove her plate away dejectedly. ââ¬Å"Nobody let me know. Iââ¬â¢m consistently the last to know everything.â⬠Cassie checked out the table at her companions. Obviously the trackers had made sense of them. Not exclusively were they in every case together, yet none of them appeared to be normal, in any event, when they were distant from everyone else. Adam and Nick, the Henderson siblings, and even Sean conveyed themselves with a pride and freedom that set them apart from different folks at school. Their kindred understudies were unnerved and awestruck by them. It was the same for the young ladies. Diana was the most respected, and Faye the most dreaded â⬠however Laurel, Melanie, Deborah, and Suzan were no less charming to their schoolmates. Something about them shimmered. They were not normal for the various young ladies in school; their issues were such a great amount of bigger than young men and garments. It was dumb of Cassie to expect any of them could have stayed unrecognized by the trackers. ââ¬Å"After what happened before today,â⬠Diana said unobtrusively, ââ¬Å"school is not, at this point alright for those of us whoââ¬â¢ve been marked.â⬠Sheââ¬â¢d coordinated the remark at Laurel, however Laurel simply played with her sandwich, not gobbling and not turning upward. Cassie had never observed her this discouraged, in any event, when the trackers first copied their image onto her front grass. Faye additionally professed not to hear Dianaââ¬â¢s notice. She would not recognize that sheââ¬â¢d been set apart by any stretch of the imagination. Cassie saw she was all the while wearing the opal accessory Max had given her, the one heââ¬â¢d stepped with the tracker image. ââ¬Å"You can take that off,â⬠Cassie stated, highlighting the neckband. ââ¬Å"You donââ¬â¢t need to continue wearing it like a red letter.â⬠Faye shook her head. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m not going to let on that I think about the imprint. Heââ¬â¢s by all account not the only one who can profess to be somebody heââ¬â¢s not.â⬠Deborah gestured, pointing her plastic fork at Faye like a lance. ââ¬Å"You should give him a painful but much needed insight. Max played you, and now you need to turn it around on him.â⬠ââ¬Å"There he is.â⬠Sean moved his beady eyes over the cafeteria toward Max, and Faye immediately applied a new layer of red sparkle to her lips. ââ¬Å"Do you sincerely think retribution is the best thought right now?â⬠Diana inquired. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢ve as of now had one near disaster with a tracker today. We donââ¬â¢t need another.â⬠ââ¬Å"Relax, D.â⬠Faye twisted her lips into a grin. ââ¬Å"We need data on the trackers and heââ¬â¢s our approach to it. Iââ¬â¢m going to siphon him for intel, twofold specialist â⬠style. Watch and learn.â⬠Without another word, Faye stood up and ran over to Max, meeting him most of the way as he drew nearer. He was dressed to go to lacrosse training and conveyed a duffel sack. Faye took the pack from him, dropped it to her side, and claimed to be similarly as in adoration with him as could be. She pulled him right up front and kissed him energetically on the mouth. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ve missed you,â⬠she stated, uproarious enough for the Circle to hear. Max contacted his fingers to his lips, presently gently covered in a similar red gleam as Fayeââ¬â¢s. ââ¬Å"And I missed you,â⬠he said. Max was tall and solid with light earthy colored hair. His voice was tough, and he wore a never-ending arrogant smile. He was only the sort of fellow that made Faye swoon. Itââ¬â¢s no big surprise sheââ¬â¢d let her gatekeeper down enough to get set apart by him. The remainder of the Circle looked as Faye murmured into Maxââ¬â¢s ear and he mumbled back to her in a delicate voice. ââ¬Å"Do you think heââ¬â¢s succumbing to it?â⬠Sean inquired. ââ¬Å"Seems like it,â⬠Doug stated, gesturing his wild head of fair hair. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s acting equivalent to previously. Like a lovesick wimp.â⬠ââ¬Å"But who knows whether sheââ¬â¢ll have the option to get any data out of him,â⬠his twin sibling said. Melanie was questionable, of course. ââ¬Å"Thereââ¬â¢s no chance heââ¬â¢s going to quit any pretense of anything on the trackers. Regardless of whether he thinks Fayeââ¬â¢s on to him or not, heââ¬â¢s not stupid.â⬠ââ¬Å"But Faye may have the option to fool him into driving us to a greater amount of them,â⬠Nick said. He was perched on the cafeteria table, twisted around with his feet on a seat. ââ¬Å"There must be a greater number of trackers around than just Max and his dad.â⬠Melanie moved her dim eyes. ââ¬Å"Yeah, Iââ¬â¢m sure Max will be glad to acquaint us with all his tracker mates. Possibly heââ¬â¢ll even host a mixed drink party.â⬠Cassie kept watching Max and Fayeââ¬â¢s to and fro. It was practically silly, them two professing to be into the other when they were really sworn adversaries. Be that as it may, Maxââ¬â¢s face sold out simply he planned it to. He was running this show and Cassie could see he was excessively acceptable at it to break under somewhat tension. Following a couple of moments of the act, Faye at long last surrendered. She inclined in and kissed Max one final time before coming back to the gathering. Max waved as he passed them on his way to the exercise center, blazing his ideal grin â⬠yet Cassie thought it appeared as though he was smiling at Diana specifically. ââ¬Å"Well, that was a bust,â⬠Faye said. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s either a great on-screen character or he doesnââ¬â¢t know anything about what happened before in the principalââ¬â¢s office. I referenced my companion Laurel and he asked which one she was.â⬠ââ¬Å"We still shouldnââ¬â¢t push our luck,â⬠Diana said. ââ¬Å"I think itââ¬â¢s time for you to remove yourself from him and his dad.â⬠ââ¬Å"I think Dianaââ¬â¢s right,â⬠Cassie said. ââ¬Å"We need to set out some new rules.â⬠ââ¬Å"Just what this Circle needs.â⬠Faye came back to her seat at the table. ââ¬Å"More rules.â⬠ââ¬Å"What do you propose?â⬠Diana asked, talking over Faye. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢re listening.â⬠Cassie acknowledged she had the entire groupââ¬â¢s consideration. They watched her ideally, similar to she may have some mystery panacea to tackle every one of their issues. She freed her throat and attempted to think from something quick. ââ¬Å"Well, we know the trackers canââ¬â¢t mark somebody without seeing them doing enchantment. In any case, once theyââ¬â¢re denoted, the following stage is the murdering curse, which implies passing. Extreme death.â⬠ââ¬Å"Is this expected to be an energy talk?â⬠Sean got out. ââ¬Å"Let her finish.â⬠Nick scowled at Sean with a profound mahogany gaze. ââ¬Å"I think we have to establish a mate framework. One tracker canââ¬â¢t play out the executing curse on a witch alone. The best thing we can do is ensure weââ¬â¢re not the only one either,â⬠Cassie said. Deborah let out a challenge of chuckling. ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s your enormous thought? For us to clasp turns in the foyer like preschoolers?â⬠ââ¬Å"I never said it was a major idea,â⬠Cassie said protectively. ââ¬Å"It just bodes well for those of us who are set apart to be with another Circle part consistently. Counting overnight.â⬠Fayeââ¬â¢s nectar hued eyes blasted. ââ¬Å"No way. I wonââ¬â¢t consent to having a sitter. Iââ¬â¢d rather die.â⬠ââ¬Å"You could very amazing you donââ¬â¢t consent to this,â⬠Melanie said. ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s the main way we can be certain you and Laurel remain safe.â⬠Tree turned upward from her immaculate lunch. She didnââ¬â¢t show up any more anxious than Faye to acknowledge this new principle. ââ¬Å"But Cassie, you said before that youââ¬â¢ve been conversing with your mother about your dad, and that youââ¬â¢re learning antiquated things that could help us.â⬠Cassie felt herself worry. She could detect Adamââ¬â¢s huge eyes watching her, and she swore she could really hear Dianaââ¬â¢s jaw unhinge before any words got away from her mouth. ââ¬Å"What old things?â⬠Diana solicited, with a trace of doubt in her voice. The whole cafeteria appeared to fall quiet and Cassie moved awkwardly. ââ¬Å"I was simply disclosing to Laurel that my dad once spared somebody who was checked. Iââ¬â¢m attempting to get familiar with how he did it.â⬠Diana frowned at Cassieââ¬â¢s uneasiness. She was reluctant to allow the issue to drop. ââ¬Å"Do you think he utilized something like the witch-tracker revile we retained from my Book of Shadows?â⬠ââ¬Å"Probably something like that,â⬠Cassie stated, attempting to sound impassive and perky. ââ¬Å"Why donââ¬â¢t we simply utilize the witch-tracker revile from Dianaââ¬â¢s book now? We know Max and his father are hunters,â⬠Suzan said. ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t comprehend what weââ¬â¢re holding up for.â⬠ââ¬Å"I second that,â⬠Nick said. Diana discharged a baffled breath. Theyââ¬â¢d been over this previously. ââ¬Å"Because

Coming Clean About Books You Never Read
Coming Clean About Books You Never Read This is a guest post from Andy Browers. Andy believes in going to State Fairs, road trips, fist-pumping at wedding receptions to rock and roll, all you can eat sushi, and doing it all with a book in your hand. He writes blogs and essays from Minneapolis, MN. ____________________ It was the sort of question you can feel coming before the asker even has a chance to open their mouth. You can see it in their eyesâ"bright, hopeful, sure that theyâve found a literary lifemate in you. I rummaged for what my reply would be. My usual arsenal included vague non-answers like âyeah, but it was really a long time ago,â âI skimmed it,â âit sounds familiar, but I canât remember,â or if I felt especially brazen there was the unflappable âyes.â But sometimes (see also: many, many times) I had not read the beloved book my friend/classmate/bus buddy/colleague/fellow party guest was asking about. So I would lie. Iâm not proud. But Iâm trying to clean up my actâ"an act that has sometimes not been above dishing out the same judgment that gave me panic-induced dyspepsia from time to time when geeking out with fellow readers. I remember a particular instance when I must have seemed apocalyptically scandalized when I asked a friend of mine about her new body art. I forget the sound that came out of me, or the shape my face made, but it was probably a cross between an Edvard Munch painting and a velociraptor. I didnât understand. How could a person declare their love of The Lord of the Rings with a tattoo having never even read them? How? That is a serious level of love, so you better be prepared to debate the power the One Ring did or did not hold over Tom Bombadil, or face the consequences. I felt somehow betrayed as a fan, as a reader, as a human being. At parties where we would marathon the extended edition movies, if someone would mention theyâd never read a single work that Tolkien ever wrote, some of us would shake our heads and sigh. People say you tend to be repulsed most by the qualities in others that repulse you the most about yourself; those people tell the truth. Iâm repulsed by people who love processed cheese in their grilled sandwiches for similar reasons. Velveeta forever. And Iâm repulsed by my own occasional booklist shortcomings, all the times I failed to finish or even start so many. You are about the fifth person to whom I have ever confessed this: I never finished reading The Return of the King. I couldnât do it. I forced myself through the first two installments at a pace that wouldnât have even qualified me for the slow loris junior varsity track team. I had to reread huge passages because I kept realizing my eyes were moving across pages I wasnât trying to comprehend because I was bored out of my gourd. But I wanted to finish. I wanted to admire the ink that my soul would acquire the moment the last page was turnedâ"a tattoo to make me an instant comrade of any other true believing fans that had gotten through them all at their own pace. Which was probably pretty swift, because they are beloved books, those Lord of the Rings installments. And I loved them from a pining distance, knowing my literary crush was too smart, too intricate, and too long for any chance of true love. As the fifth person to know this secret, if you want to recoil in horror I totally empathize. Itâs hard to believe someone has deprived themselves of such a pleasure, isnât it? Itâs hard to believe someone didnât dedicate the time and effort to enjoy a work of such scope. Itâs hard to know that someday if I make it to my idea of the afterlife, which includes a badass used bookstore with free coffee, obviously, I may bump into the author himself and have to explain to his patient but heartbroken face that I didnât like his stuff. Itâs hard, but Iâm trying to be better about owning up to a thing I canât always help: my personal taste. Iâm trying to overcome the pressure to say âyesâ when someone asks with that glowing, hopeful look âoh, have you read it?â Iâm trying to overcome the desire to skim Wikipedia to get the highlights so I can talk shop with fans. Iâm trying to let go of the fear of missing out, of the fear of looking ignorant, of the fear of someday having my own book specific tattoo mocked or doubted if I ever get one (see also: I will). I try to be gentle with others who might be confessing for only the fifth time ever that they like or donât like something Iâve read. I try to remember that we grew up with different books sitting on the shelves of our parents or older siblings, with different local libraries, or a billion other differences that shape a reader. If they can forgive my grilled cheese shortcomings, I think all things are possible.

What Stanford GSB is Looking For Intellectual Vitality
Do you have the smarts that Stanford GSB is looking for? What are the qualities that Stanford GSB is looking for as they build their class? How do successful applicants stand out from the crowd? At a school as competitive as Stanford, itââ¬â¢s a fact that many smart, accomplished applicants wonââ¬â¢t get inââ¬âso how can you demonstrate that you have that ââ¬Å"itâ⬠factor? Let us walk you through Stanfordââ¬â¢sà evaluation criteria and give you some advice. Intellectual Vitality Youââ¬â¢re smart. But this isnââ¬â¢t about smart. Most of the peopleà Stanford GSBà rejects are smartà (usually very smart). A person of average IQ may have enormous intellectual vitality, while a person with a stratospheric IQ may have scant intellectual vitality. Pretty much everyone uses their raw intellect, whatever its degree, in practical application ââ¬â to get things done. People with intellectual vitality do thatà and more: They nurture and refine their raw intellect to make it a powerful force that draws them to explore new and challenging territory; to question and probe. They turn it into energy (something vital, as in ââ¬â yes ââ¬â vitality). à Now thatââ¬â¢s attitude! (Attitude being part of intellectual vitality, per the website.) No wonder Stanford wants it. Letââ¬â¢s parse it further. Here are 5 key components (separated for discussion purposes only, as theyââ¬â¢re interconnected). Zest for ideas. When you encounter a new or challenging idea, youââ¬â¢re tantalized. You have to find out more. What does it reallyà mean? Where did it come from? And how, and why? You relish ideas for their inherent meaning and for their potential implications; theyââ¬â¢re alive to you. You value them as a new lens to see through. Dynamic, engaged mind. Youââ¬â¢re always mentally comparing and contrasting, probing limits and boundaries, seeing overlaps between disparate points and differences between similar ones. To you, an event is not static, but rather part of a continuum, with a history to explore and future ramifications to consider. You never take things at face value! But whyâ⬠¦? When you were a child, you probably were told youââ¬â¢re too curious. But curiosity underpins intellectual vitality. It drives you to learn more andà moreà andà moreà about something, to set off on thrilling learning journeys. (And you sometimes snag other people along for the ride!) The reasons behind what you believe and what you do. Back to ideas ââ¬â they animate you. Whether youââ¬â¢re politically conservative, moderate, or liberal, youââ¬â¢re not that way because your family or friends are, but because youââ¬â¢re interested in and think about the issues ââ¬â from multiple angles ââ¬â and come to certain conclusions. Your thought process informs your decisions, beliefs, actions. Open, as in unafraid. So, you have your beliefs, your ideas. But you donââ¬â¢t hide behind them. You welcome them being challenged ââ¬â itââ¬â¢s actuallyâ⬠¦ fun. Intellectual fun. And you challenge back, thoughtfully. Youââ¬â¢re a skillful devilââ¬â¢s advocate, able to argue from multiple perspectives, even ones you personally disagree with. You relish discerningà what drives and underlies opposing ideas and beliefs (thereââ¬â¢s that curiosity again). Hopefully the above points make clear that intellectual vitality is not something ponderous ââ¬â itââ¬â¢s a thrill! Yes, it engages matters of seriousness and gravity. But itââ¬â¢s fundamentally invigorating. It fuels you. And it scintillates others. Now, how do youà let Stanford know you have it? Theà application essaysà are the perfect venue for showcasing this quality ââ¬â integrate it into anecdotes, details, and reflections. I Think About My Biggest Weakness - 880 Words
I think that one of my biggest weakness in any walk of life would be that I m not all that adapt at writing assignments. I tend to always struggle at finding things to write about, I wish I could learn to be better maybe if would become a better listener it would help, that too is a weakness of mine its not as weak as my writing ability. I would really like to get all of my weak areas better because i feel that oneself if they can improve in weak areas can be a better well rounded individual and improvements in weak areas can also make ones self confidence better and if you have a higher understanding of weak areas and make the necessary improvements the world would be a better place for all who inhabit it. I feel that one small change in each person can change the world for the better and in the event that would occur we would be a happier more advanced world and it all starts with one person making a small step i would be ecstatic to see what would happen if that would come because at the end of the day we all have weak areas in our life that need improvement and it doesn t mean we all have to be the same it just means that we all improve in a small aspect of life. Also i think that the first step in improving is not only realizing that you have weak areas but it also comes from learning from our mistakes and building and growing on them first but of course you first have to admit and realize you re weak suits. Where Is Christopher Columbus Buried
Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was a Genoese navigator and explorer, best remembered for his 1492 voyage which discovered the western hemisphere for Europe. Although he died in Spain, his remains were sent back to Hispaniola, and from there, things get a little murky. Two cities, Seville (Spain) and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) claim that they have the remains of the great explorer. A Legendary Explorer Christopher Columbus is a controversial figure. Some revere him for boldly sailing west from Europe at a time when to do so was considered certain death, finding continents never dreamed of by Europes most ancient civilizations. Others see him as a cruel, ruthless man who brought disease, slavery, and exploitation to the pristine New World. Love him or hate him, there is no doubt that Columbus changed his world. Death of Christopher Columbus After his disastrous fourth voyage to the New World, an aged and infirm Columbus returned to Spain in 1504. He died in Valladolid in May of 1506, and he was at first buried there. But Columbus was, then as now, a powerful figure, and the question soon arose as to what to do with his remains. He had expressed a desire to be buried in the New World, but in 1506 there were no buildings there impressive enough to house such lofty remains. In 1509, his remains were moved to the convent at La Cartuja, an island in a river near Seville. A Well-Traveled Corpse Christopher Columbus traveled more after death than many people do in life! In 1537, his bones and those of his son Diego were sent from Spain to Santo Domingo to lie in the cathedral there. As time went on, Santo Domingo became less important to the Spanish Empire and in 1795 Spain ceded all of Hispaniola, including Santo Domingo, to France as part of a peace treaty. Columbus remains were judged too important to fall into French hands, so they were sent to Havana. But in 1898, Spain went to war with the United States, and the remains were sent back to Spain lest they fall to the Americans. Thus ended Columbus fifth round-trip journey to the New Worldâ⬠¦or so it seemed. An Interesting Find In 1877, workers in the Santo Domingo cathedral found a heavy leaden box inscribed with the words ââ¬Å"Illustrious and distinguished male, don Cristobal Colon.â⬠Inside was a set of human remains and everyone assumed they belonged to the legendary explorer. Columbus was returned to his resting place and the Dominicans have claimed ever since that the Spanish hauled the wrong set of bones out of the cathedral in 1795. Meanwhile, the remains sent back to Spain via Cuba were interred in an imposing tomb in the Cathedral in Seville. But which city had the real Columbus? The Argument for the Dominican Republic The man whose remains are in the box in the Dominican Republic shows signs of advanced arthritis, an ailment from which the elderly Columbus was known to have suffered. There is, of course, the inscription on the box, which no one suspects is false. It was Columbusââ¬â¢ wish to be buried in the New World and he founded Santo Domingo; itââ¬â¢s not unreasonable to think that some Dominican passed off some other bones as those of Columbus in 1795. The Argument for Spain The Spanish have two solid arguments. First of all, the DNA contained in the bones in Seville is an extremely close match to that of Columbusââ¬â¢ son Diego, who is also buried there. The experts who did the DNA testing believe the remains are those of Christopher Columbus. The Dominican Republic has refused to authorize a DNA test of their remains. The other strong Spanish argument is the well-documented travels of the remains in question. Had the lead box not been discovered in 1877, there would be no controversy. Whatââ¬â¢s at Stake At first glance, the whole debate may seem trivial. Columbus has been dead for 500 years, so who cares? The reality is more complicated, and there is more at stake than meets the eye. In spite of the fact that Columbus has lately fallen from grace with the political correctness crowd, he remains a powerful figure; he was once considered for sainthood. Although he has what we could call ââ¬Å"baggage,â⬠both cities want to claim him as their own. The tourism factor alone is huge; many tourists would like to take their picture in front of Christopher Columbusââ¬â¢ tomb. This is probably why the Dominican Republic has refused all DNA tests; there is too much to lose and nothing to gain for a small nation that depends heavily on tourism. So, Where Is Columbus Buried? Each city believes they have the real Columbus, and each has built an impressive monument to house his remains. In Spain, his remains are carried for eternity in a sarcophagus by massive statues. In the Dominican Republic, his remains are securely stored inside a towering monument/lighthouse built for that purpose. The Dominicans refuse to acknowledge the DNA test done on the Spanish bones and refuse to allow one to be done on theirs. Until they do, it will be impossible to know for sure. Some people think that Columbus is in both places. By 1795, his remains would have been nothing but powder and bones and it would have been easy to send half of him to Cuba and hide the other half in the Santo Domingo Cathedral. Perhaps that would be the most fitting end for the man who brought the New World back to the old. Sources Herring, Hubert. A History of Latin America From the Beginnings to the Present. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Process
Question: Discuss about the Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Process. Answer: Introduction: Deontology states that few actions are morally wrong even after it obtains a good consequence. Moreover, a sense of duty is included while taking decision. For better understanding of the ethical consideration, it can be related with case study. Student who is not getting good marks instead of studying hard can take the decision of disclosing the incident about cheating of another student who has got higher marks through taking help from outside. Deontology is appropriate here because if the student shares how another student is getting higher marks it will lead to good result as the professor could punish or warn the student for his cheating; however, this is against moral because it will cause adverse effect to the classmate. In this situation, the student who is getting poor marks in Economics in spite of studying hard can inform the tutor about the student, who is cheating to get more marks in Economics class because the consequence will be better whether the decision is good or n ot. Here theory of Utilitarianism has been considered. The concept of this theory is considered with the consequences of an action. Whether the action is right or not is determined by analyzing the fact that the action has been utilized for the sake of good. The purpose of this theory is inclined towards the greater welfare. This theory also goes with this case study because it aligns the concept of this theory with the case scenario. The advere result will be more massive if the lady is not removed. As per the case study, majority of the people can survive if an individual is sacrificed for the sake of an overall good result; thus it is clear that case scenario satisfies the theory. Here for this case study, Normative Relativism can be considered. For this case study, such theory has been taken because whatever decision is taken should not be judged. As per the concept behind the theory of Normative Relativism, no decisions should not be judged from the point of any moral codes. I should take a decision that is required to be made to save ones life; whomever I chose to save whether it is my daughter or my niece, my moral codes of behaviour should not be judged. Final thoughts on ethics morality values: Normative relativism concerned with the evaluative claims that right or wrong are only based on the framework. It is believed that normative relativism are not simply true in themselves rather it has truth values that are relative to the broader frameworks like moral codes. Normative relativism reflects three aspects like: an individual is required to follow the moral code of his culture or society. It will be considered as immoral if the individual violates the moral code ones culture or society. Next aspect states that there is no such provision where moral code of a culture and society can be identified as worse or better. There is no such objective true or universally valid morals that can rank moral codes of the different societies or cultures. Moreover, there are no scopes to define that some moral codes are more humane or enlightened in comparison to others. As there is no such principle exist, the concept of moral progress is also invalid in this term. The final aspect is, in dividuals should tolerate the moral codes of other culture and society. People must not force an individual to be part of their moral codes of culture or society; in addition, people should be judged from the point of view of a person who believes in other moral codes of culture.

It also involves identifying the objective of business or a project. It identifies the external and internal factors of a business Inch can be favorable or unfavorable to attain the objectives. * Strength -A companys specialty which will give them competitive advantage. Meanness A company decline sector which cost the company to have a disadvantage in the competition. * Opportunity External chance to improve the * Threats External elements in the environment which can cause company. Damage to the company. HEM Strength: * Extensive market presence: The first HEM store was opened in 1921 at 363 Oxford Street, London.Since then till now HEM has gone on to open 200 stores all over I-J and approximately 20 live entertainment venues and festival. (http:// NNW. Humorous. Com/about-us/facts-and-figures. Asps) This activity enables them to eve a major marketing advantage. They have one step solution for music lovers; all of their stores are located in prime shopping district which means more human traffic. They provide physical outlet for giving preview on upcoming Cads and movies. * Established entertainment brand: Since HEM was one of the first label company, they are very well established in the music industry.Famous artiste/bands like rolling stones, Battles have recorded labels with HEM and all this bands are at top level in the music industry. Because of this they can allow consumers to get badge autographed by celebrities. Meanness: Lack k marketing: If there is no brand awareness then consumer will not be encouraged to consume Hams product. * Locations: they have a very limited location because the only focuses on prime shopping areas. Opportunity . * Key developments: They mainly need to focus on movies and music, as it is their main sector.More growth in books and gaming sector. Due to stiff completion in the advertising allows consumers to take note of the brand name. They should open more physical outlet around I-J, currently they only focus on the prime shopping district, but this is causing them to lose market in other areas. Growth in Auks Ameliorating: In 21st century people are more comfortable consuming goods in online. Every few people now a day actually go to the store and buy goods, other competitors of HEM are following e-commerce and they are way ahead of HEM in online retailing. To get their market back they need to get into Auks online retailing thoroughly. Threats: * Rising man power costs Hams lack of technological innovation is causing them to keep more employers for service where as these type of services can be done easily with technology in a very cheap cost too. HEM is losing half of their income by eying employers * Highly competitive markets- companys like Sony music and Virgin music are taking over Hams market very easily, they are giving offers to the artist which HEM cant because they dont enough financial support.Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning (STEP) iris strategy is for the organization to help them to present or bring their product or services to the customers in a much sophisticated manner. Segmentation: Segmentations objective is to break the market into components, regroup into market segments and finally select which segment is to target. Targeting: Organization or rim targets a certain kind of group of people, or which kind of customers uses their product or service more often. Targeting helps to reach those customers mind by giving them what they need specifically.Positioning: Position is the primary component of the STEP strategy, or the theory of the positioning can be based on the science of perceptual strategy. This system concern how the product or services will be presented to the customers, how they should advertise or promote their product, so that the customer wont buy from their competitors. As for HEM, they have managed to carefully design their segmentation. Now they have 328 stores worldwide and an e-tailing site, which means their products are easily accessible. The HEM should target a specific market of the young generation such like as age group of 15-25 years old. This group of people is the most frequent buyers of the HEM services. Well, basically HEM is a record label company so they should prioritize on music other than their other services. So, they should open up a new website only for their music lovers, for example hummuss. Co. UK this will help them to sort out the music customers and the customers for their other products, so he customers buying music can easily see whats new and which one the blockbuster.Promoting their service, HEM should try more to advertise or promote their music package via backbone, as now everyone uses backbone. They should keep loyalty this is how they can keep the customers away from the competitors, for example, if HEM gives away offer like if a customer is a member, for every transaction they will earn points, and at the end the month for the points they have stored, they can download music for free. As no one else is offering this kind of offers, the customers will eventually come to HEM music to buy their music. But for this kind of promotion, effective positioning is needed to be done. People will not know about the offer if the word is not put inside their mind. So, HEM needs to advertise via radio, television, billboards. In this case HEM can put stands or Boss on every corner of the busiest streets in the United Kingdom and promote and explain their offer to the people. For successful marketing STEP strategy, this music company needs a separate Infinite for music, as selling everything under one roof is very congested and people Nail get confused.

Summary Analysis of Canto I of Orlando Innamorato Essay Example
Summary Analysis of Canto I of Orlando Innamorato Essay Example Summary Analysis of Canto I of Orlando Innamorato Paper Summary Analysis of Canto I of Orlando Innamorato Paper Essay Topic: Metamorphoses Orlando The Romance Of Tristan Epic romance Orlando Innamorato was written by the Italian poet Matteo Maria Boiardo who plaited together characteristic features of Carolingian epic and Arthurian legend with the classical tradition of Virgil, Homer and Ovid. à He created a great and complex story praising love in a variety of its forms. Moreover, professor of Italian at Columbia University Jo Ann Cavallo claims that Boiardos Orlando Innamorato is not a simple ode to love; this amusing tale of damsels and knights in love and war comprised expressive moral lessons for the courteous society of Renaissance Italy. Romance Orlando Innamorato quickly became an extremely popular in that day Italy. The famous literati of the time and members of the court, among who was Isabella dEste, read it enthusiastically. Numerous writers tried to translate the romance into the new Tuscan standard language; others wrote continuations, while others simply imitated it. Ariosto was one of those continuators with his Orlando Furioso, one and, in fact, the greatest of six well known continuations of the poem. Nevertheless, Boiardo couldnââ¬â¢t even surmise that one day of the sixteenth century his poem would be ââ¬Å"put aside in favour of Ariostos continuationâ⬠(Wilkins,1974). Canto I opens with the scene at the court of King Charlemagne: All of the paladins came to court to celebrate that holiday. From every region, every nation, numberless people entered Paris, and there were many Saracens, because court royal was proclaimed: anyone not an apostate or renegade was promised safety (Canto I, ottavo 9, lines 1 8). A great number of men, friends and enemies, from different countries gathered together and were having fun when absolutely unexpected meeting happened. The daughter of the king of Cathay Angelica appears at Charlemagneââ¬â¢s Pentecost tournament with her brother Argalia. The young lady is the most desirable treasure, she is the most beautiful woman have ever seen: She seemed to be the morning star, the lily and the garden rose. In short, to tell the truth of her, never was so much beauty seen (Canto I, ottavo 21, lines 5 8). There were lots of beautiful women among guests, but none of them could be comparable with the maiden beauty of Angelica: I say that each seemed beautiful before that flower reached the hall to take the beauty prize from all (Canto I, ottavo 22, lines 6 8). Itââ¬â¢s naturally that everyone wants her.à To get the desired prise men have to pass an extremely difficult trial, they must overcome Argalia in a harsh combat so that to take Angelica as wife.à Orlando and Ranaldo are the two most touched by Angelicaââ¬â¢s beauty: I cannot from my heart displace the sight of her- her sweet, bright face- because I think Iââ¬â¢ll die without her; I think my soul will disappear. Now neither strength nor courage helps against the bridling force of Love. Knowingââ¬â¢s no help, nor menââ¬â¢s advice. I see whatââ¬â¢s best. I pick whatââ¬â¢s worst (Canto I, ottavo 31, lines 1 8). Orlando accepts Angelicaââ¬â¢s challenge without momentââ¬â¢s hesitation; he and all the others at once fall in this marvellous young lady. They know nothing about her brother Argalia. Men do not consider the trial to be really hard one. Orlando canââ¬â¢t even suppose that Argaliaââ¬â¢s spear is spell-bound. Argalia establishes rules of the trial knowing beforehand that this trial will be fraudulent. So, the tournament is appointed and the rules are established. Argalia let everybody know that they are to follow rules in order to take part in the combat with him, and everybody accepted that rules: ââ¬Å"However, there is one condition; whoever wants to try must listen! Once beaten from his saddle, none may fight again for any reason. He must submit and go to prison. Yet one who can unhorse Uberto will win, as his reward, my person. My brother will recall his giantsâ⬠(Canto I, ottavo 28, lines 1 8). However, at the very beginning of the trial many participants forgot about all the regulations and decided to play against them, regardless of the fact that they had given their words of honour. What incited them to do that? The answer is simple ââ¬â burning, blind and all-absorbing passion. The author widely uses metaphors and personifications in his poem. Such poetic method provides readers with realistic image of the facts which were depicted by Boiardo. In addition to metaphors, colourful epithets are frequently used by author in the poem. Use of numerous epithets gives readers the impression that they see events and characters by Boiardoââ¬â¢s eyes. Matteo Maria Boiardo praises love which is the main theme of his poem. He shows us that the strong and frank feeling has an ability to work wonders. Nevertheless, the author lifts the veil from another side of the wonderful feeling. Canto I is some kind of an introduction to the poem ââ¬Å"Orlando in loveâ⬠, it is its beginning. Here the readers become acquainted with characters and the area where events take place; an entanglement of the plot occurs here. And this is where the author shows his readers a blind and unseasoned feeling. Here we can most probably see not a love yet, but ardent and burning passion instead. From the one hand it is wonderful; it inspires to do heroic deeds, arouses courage even in cowards; and from the other hand it makes people blind, makes them to forget about everything ââ¬â about their dignity, principles, convictions, given words and vows. Such metamorphoses are well shown in Canto I. Bad influence of the passion can be seen at the episode wi th Malagise, who disclosed the intensions of Angelicaââ¬â¢s father, King Galafrone. He decided to punish Angelica: â⬠¦ Then Malagise said, ââ¬Å"You rabble, Iââ¬â¢ll capture you without a battle! Your clubs and chains will be no use, nor will your darts and twisted swords. Iââ¬â¢ll punish you when youââ¬â¢re asleep. You will be killed like gelded sheepâ⬠(Canto I, ottavo 43, lines 7 8, ottavo 44, lines 1 4). As we can see, he wanted to kill the lady, but when Malagise stooped close to her and saw her beauty he changed his mind: â⬠¦he neared the woman stealthily and drew forth his sword to slit her throat, but when he saw her close- so pretty!- he delayed. His spirit weltered back and forth. At last, he said, ââ¬Å"Hereââ¬â¢s what will happen: Iââ¬â¢ll make her sleep by magic, then Iââ¬â¢ll have her. Iââ¬â¢ll indulge my passionâ⬠(Canto I, ottavo 45, lines 1 8). So, in that episode we can see the side of passion which cannot be called tender and loving on any account. The Carolingian epic was actually turned on its head by Boiardo who created his own updated version of the Orlando/ Roland story. Orlando Innamorato is some kind of an unauthorized biography which showes how the pure paladin had left Charlemagnes court to pursue a marvellous princess from Cathay across whole Eurasia. The author rewrote classical texts of, for instance, Ovidââ¬â¢s Metamorphoses and Homerââ¬â¢s Odyssey, and readers can find such rewrittings at the text. Boiardoââ¬â¢s Orlando Innamorato has preserveded its freshness and popularity for 500 years in popular culture of Italy. In Sicilys puppet theaters Italians and tourists travelling to that country today can up to now come across Rinaldo and Orlando fighting over the marvellous princess Angelica. The characters depicted by Boiardo and later developed in Orlando Furioso, Ariostoââ¬â¢s continuation, have reappeared in melodrama, opera, folk operas, and also in recitations by singers and story-tellers. The first full-length theatrical alteration of Orlando Innamorato has only recently been presented to a contemporary audience. Materials from the chivalrous tradition, expressing the Carolingian epic of Charlemagne and his knights, and the Arthurian romances of Lancelot, King Arthur and even Tristan were taken by Boiardo for writing his epic poem. The author also used incorporated stories and classical tradition from Homer. Most of Homerââ¬â¢s themes were taken by Boiardo from the Odyssey and Iliad, which wasnââ¬â¢t in such an extent romance-oriented as the first one. Some episodes were rewritten from the epic model excellence in the Italian Renaissance, Virgils Aeneid, and also from Ovid, as The Metamorphosis was a manual of mythological stories. The readers interpreted these stories allegorically. They are use by Matteo Maria Boiardo to create a play with firm allegorical tradition. The lyrics of Petrarch and the novella tradition of Boccaccio also were among sources from which Boiardo borrowed some elements for his poem. He practiced creative imitation and reworking of earlier texts in order to provide his own text with richer meaning. Itââ¬â¢s rather interesting for modern reader to try to recognize the source and read both versions in comparison. Boiardoââ¬â¢s Orlando Innamorato brought certain ammount of novelty in epic romances. It frankly describes humanââ¬â¢s intimate feelings such as the desire for revenge or glory, erotic desire, sympathy and ambition. The author makes subtle analisis of these feelings, he offers the readers to perceive this world without any borders. The poem is alive owing to the fact that Boiardo allows readers to make their conclusions and observations without obtruding his own ones.
